Dr. Shamshoon completed his undergraduate studies at McMaster University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science, Honours Kinesiology degree. He remained in Hamilton, Ontario to complete his medical training and subsequently, Family Medicine residency. He then completed his Sports Medicine Fellowship at McMaster and received his Canadian Academy for Sport and Exercise Medicine (CASEM) certification in May, 2022.
Dr. Shamshoon currently serves multiple communities within the Greater Toronto Area. He works in clinics located in Hamilton, Burlington, and Brampton. His practice is not limited to athletes as his expertise in joint and soft tissue injections allows him to provide care for those with arthritis, rotator cuff tendinopathy, and many other chronic joint conditions.
Outside of clinic, Dr. Shamshoon is currently the Associate Head Team Physician with the CPL soccer club, Hamilton Forge FC. He has also worked closely with multiple McMaster University varsity teams, including men’s and women’s rugby as well as men’s football both on and off the field. Apart from this, he has had the opportunity to travel with the Team Canada U18 Men's Basketball team as team physician un the U18 FIBA AmeriCup and has also provided medical game coverage for the Hamilton Tiger Cats CFL team, Hamilton Bulldogs OHL hockey team and the Toronto Rock lacrosse team.
